Christmas Cactus: Christmas Fantasy
September 29, 2006
Author's Note: I have grown Christmas Cactus
(Schlumbergera) for a long time. They always seem to bloom in
the early fall for me and I love that! All of my plants are in
shade in pots under the patio awning and they do well in that
environment. My Mother grew them years ago and that is where my
interest came from. When I see them in all their glory budding
out and preparing to bloom I do think of Christmas. It is only
about 3 months away and that time will fly, the stores are already
decorating and our thoughts turn to that holiday. The above 'Christmas
Fantasy' is my newest plant and it is blooming profusely. I love
the colors and the regal way they display themselves.-BT September
