Most of the flower photographs here were taken on our latest trip to Beautiful Ireland in May, 2009. The country will always warm our hearts and we will go there as often as we can. The photographs were taken at Fota House, that grand old beautiful great house in Fota Park, Co. Cork and at Lismore Castle Garden, Lismore, Co. Waterford. These two magnificent places are always on our itinerary when we return to Ireland. They are wonderful and appealing. I hope you enjoy viewing the flowers. The time was May, as the title of the page indicates and the weather nice and the flowers blossoming all around the country.

Fota

Fota, the peace calls out,

As I stroll your lovely and magnificent gardens.

I can hear it in the rhododendrons and the roses.

Ah, yes, near that magnificent bush, a small hare

Eats among the grasses.

The world continues its spin in space;

But not I---your peace stops it awhile for me,

As I contemplate the beauty of your garden of varied hues.

And the quiet intones its peace to my mind.
